This month's challenge is all about capturing eyes. It can be animal eyes, people's eyes, insect's eyes etc... I am looking for color and clarity in the subject as well as any reflections or other effects that can be captured in the eyes. I am not just looking for macro shots. There are lots of beautiful opportunities in facial shots that can focus on eyes. Remember the eyes are the window to the soul! have fun!

Ok, I'll be the first to jump in. Here is my first entry into this months mini challenge. I'm not sure if it counts or not but remember, I'm trying to think outside the box here! It's the eye of a needle. Very technical you know!!! If you dont belive me, just try it! Attachments:

Both great entries! No that's fine Dave. They can be "eyes" of other things too!

Here is my second entry. "Doggy Eyes" Very difficult to do because my dog hates it when I point the camera at her! So trying to get good composition, focus and reflection in her eyes is almost impossible! BUt I like this shot so I guess I did alright! If you look close you can see me in her eye. I found it hard to get a good close-up of eyes without a macro lens. This was taken with my SONY 70300 G lens and is heavily cropped. I thought his green eyes "looked" good. Attachments:

I couldn't leave out my Ethan. I took this one today with my 50mm lens and then edited using Nelly Nero's action 'ginger sky'. It's soft but his expression is priceless! Attachments:
