They had a ceremony at Deadmans Point this afternoon commemorating the 100th anniversary of the great fire of 1911. Different dignitaries got up and read some of the accounts of people who went through that amazing and tragic event. Afterwords, some of the elderly folks (I'm not one of them) started talking about growing up in the area and some of their adventures in a very new town. A very nice way to spend a hot summer afternoon. Attachments:
