This year's vacation was to the Beaches Resort in the British West Indies. Wow - what a place! The luxury was staggering. Again, I was fed up with posting images in the old forum but now I thought I'd share some photos from the resort and surrounds. These are in chronological order: Here is the hotel room. King-sized bed for Mommy and Daddy. Kid gets the trundle bed in the corner: www.bugography.com/Gallery/Travel/Turks & Caicos 2011/room.jpg[/img] The first morning finds me out early roaming the property. This "overgrown" statue in a french garden catches my eye: www.bugography.com/Gallery/Travel/Turks & Caicos 2011/garden1.jpg[/img] Shortly after, it begins to rain and I take refuge under a sun umbrella. The rain stops after about ten minutes and leaves behind a rainbow: www.bugography.com/Gallery/Travel/Turks & Caicos 2011/rainbow1.jpg[/img] The ceiling of a pavillion: www.bugography.com/Gallery/Travel/Turks & Caicos 2011/look_up1.jpg[/img] Across the courtyard: www.bugography.com/Gallery/Travel/Turks & Caicos 2011/arc1.jpg[/img]

Here are a couple other pics from my wanderings that morning: Once the sun is fully up, the camera equipment is put away. So as the day ended on day one, I rushed down to the ocean to get my sunset pics. Unfortunately, the beach was rather narrow and fully developed as far as the eye could see in both directions. Underneath the pier: This is a candy shop:

The next day again sees me up early and down to the beach. Only a couple pics this morning. Spent most of it just walking and listening to tunes. What a great way to start any day! I remember listening to "The Wake of Magellan" by Savatage with an ear-to-ear grin as I made my way down the beach.

Day 4: Wednesday Feb 9thAs usual, my morning walk finds me at the beach: Everywhere you look you see these little anoles: Plenty more pics of these guys in the days following. After seeing this boat going back and forth all day, I decide we should try parasailing! What a rush! That evening, I decided to wander the resort with my tripod and get some night shots:
