Great photo's Diane. How are you feeling? Were you able to catch up on some sleep?

Well another hurdle gone, the money's in the bank. It’s time to start thinking about the last mile, the day of giving memories and hope to those who probably need it most. November 06/2011 is not that far away. The last mile can also be the most challenging this is the time that some people drop out because they are too busy or don’t feel they have enough energy. The last mile is also the most rewarding, when you have finished what you had started and say,” IT IS DONE”. Now you sit back and reflect on the people you have met. There will be Moms, Dads, Friends and all the little ones that will look up to you like you are something so special and their eyes will say thank you. Some of us will melt like hot butter in a pan. When it is done just think about the journey that portrait will take over the next 20 or 30 years. I’m reminded of a little inspiration quote I read from Mother Theresa "It is not how much we do, but how much love we put in the doing. It is not how much we give, but how much love we put in the giving." -Mother Teresa In the next few months we will be looking to recruit photographers, greeters, those who can do makeup and hair. We will be asking to borrow equipment and even to borrow you. This will be a good day, a day for all of us to remember. Thanks PPC

Nice job guys!!! Thank you all for getting up so early and helping out with this event. The money raised means we can make some serious decisions about the Family Portratits in the next few weeks.

Well it’s been awhile so I feel it’s time to start talking about the Portraits For Families project. Some news to share: first off if you have not heard Mike and Pam are moving on to Labrador. They both brought allot of energy not only to the project but to the PPC as well. They are a class act and I for one will miss them. Wishing you both well Mike and Pam. Keep in touch Its strange how things work out sometimes with Mike and Pam's departure I was contemplating on how we would fill the void. Saturday I was looking through the Help Portrait web site and found that someone from our area was registered in the site and wanted to do something locally. I contacted the individual and I immediately received a response. Turns out it was a past member of the PPC "Jodi". Jodi expressed an interest in joining the Portraits for Families group. Jodi is an excellent photographer and brings a wealth of experience to our group. Welcome aboard Jodi. If you check out the members list you can find a link to her web site. We have about 10 weeks to go and lots to do. Meeting coming up very soon, its time get ready for the big day, I will be in touch.
