To bad about the trouncing Terry but good job on the shot. Motion was captured just about right. ISO 800 was a good choice overall lighting and motion well depicted.
Hey Mr Dewar you plan on entering this challenge?

Ok, here is my first entry into the mini challenge. This was shot on shutter priority at 10sec f9 with an ISO of 400. I was using my 24-105 lens at 24mm. I think it captured the night time feeling and should easily win this contest!!!! ;D Attachments:

Welcome aboard Dave, it is a very nice shot, I like the light display, but you already have some very stiff competition for this chellenge. with 3 picutres in you are in the top 3

Well I hope you are going to consider the technical difficulties with a shot such as mine! White balance, shutter speed, depth of field just to name a few! I also had to chase my dog out of the shot a couple of times!!!! Welcome aboard Dave, it is a very nice shot, I like the light display, but you already have some very stiff competition for this chellenge. with 3 picutres in you are in the top 3

Very nice shot Diane. Your shutter, appature and ISO setting are right on the money. The main subject is in focus. Runner #80 is clear enough to make this picture interesting. Runner #102's expression is pricless.
