Just normal processing. It's done in camera but the effect is created by the flash, Maybe Nikon flashes cant do this?!?!?! ;)It took me about 12 shots to get it right. That is a neat shot, is most of that post processing?

Here is my first shot for this challenge. Took it at the French River and is a zoom out from some fall leaves using a 16-105mm lense with my new Sony A850! I set the camera at a speed of 1/13th sec at F5.6 ande iso100. Attachments:

Here is a second entry. It was taken down at the river near Cedar Meadows. I used a ND filter to reduce the light of the rising sun and set the speed at 1/15th sec at f9 and iso100. I panned the camera vertically with the trees as I made the shot. Tried a few different speeds to get the effect that I liked. Attachments:

Here is a third shot that I took today in Calgary. This tas taken at 1/13sec at f5.6 and iso 100. I used my new Sony A850 hand held. The slow speed made a nice effect on the fountain and softened the clouds. Am off to Banff tomorrow for a day of shooting. Weather has been cold but nice and clear. Attachments:

Thanks for all those who took the time to enter, I hope you had fun but as usual this was a tough one to judge the pictures were all well done. I hate this part but I guess it has to be done. 1st place goes to Lisa “Northern Lights”. I liked the composition of the shot; she did a very good job on shutter settings to capture the night sky. 2nd place Brad with his Calgary shot. I like how Brad used the shutter speed to soften the water and clouds, a very nice picture. 3rd place is Dave with the “Bannerman Park” shot I just like the shot overall. I have to mention Dave’s” Split Personality” shot as well,. It was interesting and if this was a challenge about flash and not Shutter Priority then maybe just maybe he would have done better. Also his comments on Nikon Flash did not help. Congratulations Lisa and Good Job everyone, thanks again for entering.

Very surprised I won! they were all very great entries and tough competition. I am thinking hard about the next challenge topic.... I have a few ideas just trying to narrow it down. Do you just want us to bring our cameras or all of our gear.. flash etc...?

Congrats Kids. Loved the northern lights shot. Always wanted to do one like that. For what it's worth I also really liked Brad's panzoom shot of the leaves. Wouldn't want to look at it while I was drunk though! T Thanks for all those who took the time to enter, I hope you had fun but as usual this was a tough one to judge the pictures were all well done.
